This year has been the year of trying new things and one of the things I added to my list was eyelash extensions. I have tried different glue on lashes as well as magnetic ones and truth be told I really stink at putting them on - I just need someone to do it for me lol! So after hunting down a good Groupon, I decided to give it a try.
This is what my eyelashes looked like when I went in (no makeup on).
And here is what they looked like right after.
I mean this is an amazing difference! However, it probably only looked like this for a day. I did everything they said to take care of them, however by the next day they were already starting to fall out.
Don't get me wrong, with no make up on they look amazing.
I love mascara and you are not supposed to wear mascara with them on. Here is a picture with full make up.
Still looks great with no mascara on them, but by the third day, they were really starting to fall off. And I was told they were supposed to last about 2 weeks. They were all off by the first week!
Now I'm not sure if this happens all the time, but I don't think I would do this again. Even with a Groupon it was not cheap and it took at least 2 hours to put them on. God bless the people that do this - it is so tedious.
My thought is to just put some fake glue on lashes and pray they stay on LOL! I'm curious if you have had this done and what your opinion is on eyelash extensions. Let us know in the comments below.
Don't get me wrong, I love beautiful lashes and no mascara can give you quite the look - this picture is me with no lashes and full make up.
But there are some really good eyelash serums that do help your eyelashes grow. I have used Rodan + Fields serum. It is expensive, but it really works. I have also used Dime Beauty which is much cheaper but doesn't work as well.
