Elsa and I wanted to take this time to give you a little bit of information about how all of this "blogging" stuff works and why does it matter anyway? We are going to answer three questions. How does it work? What can you do to help? And how do we find everything?
How does it work?
When we talk about things we love or fashion or anything really, we want you to be able to locate this information as easy as possible. In order to do this we have to set up links from websites so that you can go directly to the website.
In addition to this there are companies out there that have an agreement with retailers that they will provide us with special links to their products and if someone uses our links and purchases an item, we will get a small commission. This is one way in which bloggers, influencers, etc. make money. It is called affiliate marketing.
What can you do help?
Every blogger/influencer takes a tremendous amount of time to create pictures, find the appropriate links and put them in their blogs or other social media outlets. If you click on our links we have created, we will get credit for that and we could also make a small commission on that if that item or any item from that website is purchased once you have hit our link. I just found out the other day that if you purchase an item from a link we have created and do a store pick up for the item, we still get credit. Even if you don't purchase the exact item from our link, but purchase something else on that website, we still get the credit.
Elsa and I like many other bloggers love what we do and care about the content we share. It is not about linking a bunch of random stuff to make a few dollars - trust me, it's not worth it. It's about sharing with you the great things we have found or purchased ourselves that we want you to know about.
Many of you have asked if we keep everything we purchase and the answer is no. First of all we would never have enough time to actually wear all of the pieces we share and honestly we believe in some sort of sustainability - hence our love for Nuuly. Many times we purchase a lot of items i.e. swimsuits for example to show you all the different styles because personally we like seeing them on someone versus online. We also don't always have enough time in the store to try everything on so we end up buying the items and trying them on at home. We like to do the work so you don't have to.
How do we find everything?
There are many different places where our content is available. The best place to find our items we have linked is to follow us on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app and search for coffeeandcannoliblog. Another great place is our website under the page titled "Shop our Looks". This takes you right to the LIKEtoKNOW.it link. Another great place is to follow us Instagram. We are constantly linking websites, products, etc. in our profile page on Instagram and you can also find anything from our Instagram on the bottom of our website as well. We also post on our Facebook page and Pinterest.
